Payment Schedule

Rent must be paid in advance.

Depending on the landlord’s policy, if the lease term is less than three months, the full rent for the entire period is usually required upfront at the time of contract signing.

For longer stays, rent is typically due by the end of each month for the following month.

In addition to rent, tenants are usually required to pay an administrative fee, security deposit, and move-out cleaning fee at the time of signing.

Please note that the key cannot be handed over until payment has been confirmed in the landlord’s account.

Your booking will be finalized only after the payment is verified.

Payment Methods

Available payment methods vary depending on the landlord’s policy and may include bank transfer or credit card payment.

For International Bank Transfers

• All bank transfer fees, including fees from your home country, international transfer fees, and Japanese bank charges, must be borne by the tenant (If fees are deducted from the total amount received, move-in may not be permitted).
• The sender’s name must match the name of the contract holder.
• International transfers may take 3–10 business days to appear in the landlord’s account, so please allow sufficient time when arranging payment.

For Credit Card Payments

• Depending on the landlord’s policy, a credit card processing fee (3–5%) may apply and will be charged to the tenant.
• The cardholder’s name must match the contract holder’s name.
• In many cases, the full amount must be paid in a single transaction. Please ensure that your credit limit is sufficient before payment.
• If you are making a large payment while abroad, your credit card company’s fraud prevention system may automatically block the transaction. To avoid this, please notify your card issuer in advance that you will be making a high-value payment in Japan.
• If a 3D Secure error occurs during payment, please contact your credit card company, inform them of the payment website and amount, and then attempt the payment again.
