Chiba Prefecture is located to the east of Tokyo and is larger than Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefecture combined. Each region in Chiba has distinct characteristics, and the prefecture is well-balanced in all aspects of agriculture, fishery, industry, and commerce. The prefectural capital is Chiba-shi.
In the northwestern part of the prefecture, residential development has grown due to easy access to Tokyo, and there are many large shopping malls and entertainment facilities, while the seaside area has many beaches, fishing towns, lush mountains, and beautiful coastlines.
Kisarazu has easy access to Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture, Haneda Airport, and central Tokyo through the Tokyo Bay Aqualine, and the eastern area facing Tokyo Bay has growing industry such as power plants and steel mills. Narita International Airport and Tokyo Disney Resort are also located in Chiba Prefecture.
